Ana Tzarev Exhibition at The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum

08 July 2010

A spectacular display of the artist Ana Tzarev's floral paintings will be featured in an upcoming exhibition at The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum opening September 24, 2010 in Hanoi, Vietnam as part of the events celebrating 2010 Thang Long-Hanoi Millennium honoring 1,000 years of history. The paintings in this exhibition were used as the basis of Ana Tzarev's section of the Hanoi Ceramic Wall Project, a major public works project covering the retaining wall that runs throughout the city. When asked about her inspiration for the Wall Project design, Tzarev replied,

"I decided to do a floral design because I wanted something extremely positive and uplifting to celebrate both the Millennium and the future of Hanoi. Flowers are the universal language of peace and I felt strongly that it was important to commemorate the joy, hope and promise of peace for this beautiful, historic city."

The exhibition will be on view from September 24 through October 4.
