Mr. Marijan Gubic, Consulate General of Croatia, hosted a celebration of the twentieth anniversary of democracy in Croatia at the Ana Tzarev Gallery. Guests were delighted to sample authentic Croatian food and spirits. They also enjoyed a variety of performances by a number of featured artists including the United States Military Academy Clarinet Quartet and Mr. Dragan Ivanov Bubalo, a pianist who performed Jubilus, a piece composed by Dr. Ivo Josipovic, President of the Republic of Croatia. Also in attendance was Mr. Thomas Patrick Melady, former U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See and Ms. Marjorie Tiven, Commissioner at the Office of the Mayor, who read a special mayoral message from Mr. Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York.
