The Ana Tzarev Gallery hosted a private dinner in celebration of Black History Month, with special Guest of Honor, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the United Nations Office for Partnerships. The attendees discussed the implementation of the initiative to erect a Permanent Memorial in Honor of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade in an effort to acknowledge the tragedy of slavery, racial prejudice and the lingering consequences of the enslavement of more than 18 million people over five centuries. The event brought together leaders who discussed the project and established a group of "Freedom Founders" who will support the Memorial's implementation.
