See the World through the Eyes of Ana Tzarev

International Artist, Ana Tzarev, Takes to the Streets of New York with Unforgettable Advertising Campaign: "SEE THE WORLD THROUGH ANA'S EYES."

On October 27, the text-only campaign underwent a change to reveal images of vibrant paintings by the Artist, transforming New York's cityscape into one of the largest outdoor art exhibitions ever.

New York, October 21, 2008 - If you have seen New York City buses cruising through Chelsea's gallery district, or stood on the corner of 57th and Lexington Avenue, or passed phone kiosks on the Upper East Side or SoHo, you have seen the message SEE THE WORLD THROUGH ANA'S EYES. New Yorkers everywhere have asked themselves, "Who is Ana, and how does she see the world?"

The mystery was finally revealed on October 27, as New Yorkers were invited to SEE THE WORLD THROUGH THE EYES OF ANA TZAREV, the international artist who opened her eponymous gallery, to show paintings she has created over the last 16 years, and which are inspired by her world travels. On November 24th, the Ana Tzarev Gallery opened at 24 West 57th Street, in the heart of one of New York's legendary art districts.

SEE THE WORLD THROUGH ANA'S EYES, which is emblazoned in crisp white text on black background, can be found throughout Manhattan on: six major billboards - some as high as four stories; more than a dozen phone kiosks; countless buses and bus shelters; and, posters and panels in half a dozen neighborhoods throughout midtown and downtown.

On October 27, the black and white, text-only campaign was transformed overnight to feature Ana Tzarev's vibrant paintings - a kaleidoscope of brilliant colors inspired by her world travels. Subjects include: White cranes gracefully dancing amidst Japanese cherry blossoms set against a fiery sky; rice farmers in colorful garments, bent over their work in a rice field in South East Asia, each donning a traditional, luminous yellow, straw hat; and, and portraits of a lavishly costumed African King and Queen.

The result was one of the largest outdoor art exhibitions to ever be seen in New York City. Tzarev comments: "I created the outdoor campaign to share my work, which presents life in different cultures, not only on the walls of my gallery, but also with people on the street, as they go about their daily lives. I hope to bring the beauty of other cultures to New Yorkers, who collectively represent every nation in the world, with the aim of stimulating dialogue and understanding."

Opened in late November, the new permanent home of Ana Tzarev Gallery at 24 West 57th Street now presents the inaugural exhibition Journey of Discovery, comprised of Tzarev's paintings which have never before been publicly viewed. The mission of the Gallery is to present the work of artist Ana Tzarev to an international audience. Inspired by the artist's travels through Asia, Africa, the Pacific and numerous other regions, Tzarev's paintings are about historic and present day rituals, as well as traditions of daily life in various global cultures.
