The Ana Tzarev Gallery had the pleasure to host the opening reception for Defiance, a special exhibition featuring works by Sanam Enayati. A noted artist whose works are greatly influenced by her early life in Iran prior to moving to the U.S., she describes her paintings as a way to express a "blend of cultural and socio-political significance aesthetically through an assortment of substance and material representations." Currently on the faculty of The Art Institute of New York City, she holds an M.F.A. from the New York School of Visual Arts and was also a featured artist in the 2010 Freedom to Create exhibition.
