The Life of Flowers

Galerie Palazzo Leonardo, Monaco
26 September - 26 December 2013

On view in an exclusive private gallery show in Monaco is a specially curated selection of works drawn from Ana Tzarev's sprawling The Life of Flowers collection. The exhibition, comprised of Tzarev’s signature immense, kinetic floral paintings, brings the painter and sculptor's lifelong exploration of the natural world and its resonance across cultures to the forefront. Through the subversion of scale and amplification of hue, the works on view are more expressive portraits of flowers than organic studies, enveloping viewers in her singular view of natural splendour. The centrepiece of the exhibition is a special hosting of the artist's monumental Love, a brilliant 15-foot fibreglass poppy presented as part of her global Love & Peace campaign.

The Life of Flowers has previously been exhibited in Rome, St. Petersburg, and New York.
